What is Trail Life USA?
"Trail Life USA is a Christ-centered boy-focused mentoring and discipleship program that partners with local churches to empower men to develop the next generation of character-rich servant leaders through outdoor adventure" (www.traillifeusa.com).
"Trail Life is a journey for boys and young men established on timeless values derived from the Bible. Why join Trail Life?
We can all agree that our world is moving at an extremely fast pace and that technology is everywhere around us. Access to all kinds of information are just a few keystrokes or taps away. In an effort to make our lives "easier" many have found it has become more complicated. There seems to be more we have to guard our children from. This past year, has caused many parents, rightfully so, to be asking the questions "What is my child learning? What are they being exposed to?"
Raising kids in today's world to have the godly values and character you desire for them is not an easy task. There is no doubt our kids are growing up in a hurting world. All throughout the Word of God it reiterates that we were EACH created for a purpose. To be alive...here...now...during this time. We are to be light-bearers in the darkness and teach our kids the same.
In Proverbs 22:6 it tells parents to "Train your child up in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." In the midst of life's demands, even with the best of intentions, there are times we, as parents, we feel like we have fallen short. However, we have come to understand that as we put God and His principles first, His grace is extended. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
The more godly, positive influences they have, the better. As part of the body of Christ, we desire to come alongside and help do just that. "Trail Life USA understands the needs of boys and strives to provide an environment where they can fully be boys so they can develop into winning and confident men."

Is there something similar my daughter could join?
Yes, absolutely! If you have a daughter, we encourage you to check out American Heritage Girls (AHG). Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls are "brother-sister" troop organizations. Our town is blessed to have a thriving local AHG Troop MO-1410.
